My daughters were recently given Bingo boards that have little things like acorns, leaves, and grass on them. They boards also have some small animals like birds and squirrels on them. The object is to find those things outside and check-off five in a row to win. It’s a fun way to get kids to explore the nature in their neighborhoods.

Seeing my daughters have fun playing outdoor Bingo with the store-bought cards made me think that I could make my own version. Flippity.net has a Google Sheets template that makes it easy to create your own Bingo boards. I modified the template a little bit by inserting images instead of just using words. Watch this short video to see how to make an Outdoor bingo board that includes images.
Flippity’s Bingo template lets you print your sheets or share them as online game boards. Students who use the online game boards can mark off items as they find them. Obviously, students using the printed Bingo sheets will need to have a pencil or pen to mark off items when they find them.
