This week’s Ed Tech Fitness challenge is kind of a continuation of last week’s challenge to try to keep track of what you eat. This week the challenge is to write down your fitness goals every day. Writing it down every morning can help you remember it throughout the day when you’re tempted to snack on something you shouldn’t snack on or when you feel like skipping exercise that day.

Since 2012 I have been writing down my personal and professional goals in a notebook every morning. I have notebooks filled with pages of my goals written down over and over and over. There have been times when I’ve slacked on writing these down in my notebook. Whenever I slack in that department, it shows up in my work and in my personal life. Writing the goals in my notebook in the morning reinforces what I’m working toward and serves as an affirmation that I will get reach that goal.
My current fitness goals are to do a solo 50 mile bike ride in March, a 75 mile ride in April, and a 100 mile ride in May. Writing those down in the morning helps me remember them throughout the day when I want to stress-snack or want to call it quits a little early on my spin bike.
So this week try writing down your goals every morning to serve as a reminder throughout the day. Good luck!
