Good evening from Maine where it’s 42F and raining, again. That means that today was another day on the indoor spin bike and a few sets of mountain climbers. The mountain climber exercise is the last one in this month’s series of core strengthening exercises.
Mountain climber is an exercise in which you start in a plank-like position on your hands and feet then pull your knees to your chest one at a time before returning to the starting position and repeating. You can do these at any pace you choose. If you do them in rapid succession it can provide a nice cardio workout. This video provides a perfect demonstration of the mountain climber exercise.
